The Goods from the Woods - Episode #43 – “Fish Outta Water” with Drew Morgan & D.J. Lewis

In this episode, the Goods from the Woods Boys discuss what it's like to move to a new place with two comedians who literally JUST moved to Los Angeles. Those comedians are Drew Whitney Morgan and D.J. Lewis who hail from the rising comedy scene of Knoxville, TN. This episode is all about hellacious landlords, sketchy starter friends, and those sad, isolating first attempts at fitting into an unfamiliar place. Side tangents include Sanford & Son, Burt Reynolds, and D.J.'s 9-year stint in prison (No, for real). This one is a doozy and we couldn't be more proud of it! World Book Club - Janice Galloway

Harriett Gilbert talks to award-winning writer Janice Galloway about her novel The Trick Is to Keep Breathing. Recorded at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Harriett discusses her novel about a drama teacher, Joy Stone, who is losing her grip on reality as she struggles to cope with the loss of her married lover and her mother.

Through the wit and irony that helped gain her international acclaim, Galloway crafts a picture of modern life and depression. Yet even as she sees her family and friends metamorphose into suspicious characters, Galloway's protagonist and the reader find the trick in living rests with the simplest things.
