Stephen Blum finds that his life outside of tech is tricky to define, given we are surrounded by tech everywhere. He was inspired to be a game developer at an early age, and he found it fun and exciting. In the gaming days, he really enjoyed the Legend of Zelda, Metroid - those adventures and the animation was fascinating to him. After a while, he found more excitement within the business world, and using technology to solve problems and profit. In fact, he finds it so much fun, that what he loves to do outside of work and business... is just chill. He likes it when there is no plans.
Stephen likes to support and invest in earlier stage AI and API companies. He has 18 different companies he has invested in, and he wants to continue expanding that portfolio, and into crypto as well - specifically arbitrage through API's, which he finds particularly fun and lucrative. One of the tricks he found is to make all trades simultaneously within the same wallet.
In their inception, they were trying to solve a problem... by simply creating a button to order a taxi. In the process of building that, they figured out they needed tech to allow more than one party to participate. And their product vision clicked.

In the year 1900, a crew of Greek sponge divers was looking for sponges off the coast of the island of Antikythera. While they were searching, they found the remains of an ancient shipwreck.
The wreck contained over 30 marble statues, pieces of glasswork, one corroded metal object that no one could identify.

Embattled Dreamlands: The Politics of Contesting Armenian, Kurdish and Turkish Memory (Routledge, 2020) explores the complex relationship between competing national myths, imagined boundaries and local memories in the threefold-contested geography referred to as Eastern Turkey, Western Armenia or Northern Kurdistan.
Spatially rooted in the shatter zone of the post-Ottoman and post-Soviet space, it sheds light on the multi-layered memory landscape of the Lake Van region in Southeastern Turkey, where collective violence stretches back from the Armenian Genocide to the Kurdish conflict of today. Based on his fieldwork in Turkey and Armenia, the author examines how states work to construct and monopolize collective memory by narrating, silencing, mapping and performing the past, and how these narratives might help to contribute and resolve present-day conflicts.
By looking at how national discourses are constructed and asking hard questions about why nations are imagined as exclusive and hostile to others, Embattled Dreamlands provides a unique insight into the development of national identity which will provide a great resource to students and researchers in sociology and history alike.
