How good are you at finding your way from A to B? Humans throughout history have used all sorts of tools to get us to our destination – from a trusty map and compass to the instant directions on a smartphone. But CrowdScience listener Pam from Florida wants to know what happens when we leave the surface of the Earth and try to navigate our way around space. Is there a North and South we can use to orientate ourselves? Which way is left if your nearest landmark is a million light years away? And if you can’t tell which way is up, how do spacecraft know where they’re going?
Presenter Anand Jagatia speaks to experts in an attempt to find his way through the tricky problem of intergalactic space navigation.

- PERSONALLY REFLECT
Say these aloud to yourself
Inspired by Aras's recommendations, repeat these: I believe that homelessness is solvable. I understand that we must fix systems, not people. I consider people experiencing homelessness in my community to be my neighbors.
- BECOME INFORMED
Hear stories of homelessness from those experiencing it
Visit InvisiblePeople.tv which uses storytelling, education, news, and activism to change the narrative on homelessness. Their videos are compelling and tell a whole story we often don't see. They are on YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
- PUBLICLY PARTICIPATE
Follow the Community Solutions Playbook
Aras's organization, Community Solutions, has an entire page literally devoted to citizen action. It's a whole playbook to learn more, connect locally, and hold our communities accountable for ending homelessness.

Staredown with Moscow over Ukraine. A large, dangerous winter storm brings snow, flooding and even tornadoes. Another gold for Gu at the Winter Olympics. Correspondent Steve Kathan has the CBS World News Roundup for Friday, February 18, 2022:
Marfa, Texas, is known internationally for its arts scene. But on the south side of the city, there’s this old school. It’s a school where teachers once paddled Latino students for speaking Spanish. Now, some of those same students — grandparents and retirees in their 80s — are working to save the long-shuttered segregated Blackwell School and make it a national historic site to teach the history of segregated schools for Latinos in the United States.
This episode has been updated. An earlier version included audio of Jessi Silva describing an integrated school she attended in addition to the Blackwell School in Marfa, Texas. That school was in California, not Marfa.
