Chicago Hospital Changes Its Midwife Program. Patients Aren’t Happy.

Starting September 1, Swedish Covenant Hospital in Lincoln Square, Chicago will combine midwives with obstetricians in a single department to care for pregnant people. The move scales back a midwifery program that some patients praise as defining their pregnancy and delivery experience.
