Israel continued waves of heavy airstrikes in Beirut after Hezbollah began firing on Israel in support of Iran. Nearly 85,000 people have been displaced, according to the Lebanese government. The Israeli military has also started a ground incursion into southern Lebanon, while Hezbollah chief Naim Qassem said that the group "will not surrender."
